Lastly we are now going to check out some particularly unpleasant items that are intent on wrecking your kitchen design.
Unless discovered at an early stage these evil items have a nasty habit of appearing (or being present) during the installation of your kitchen, often forcing a complete re-design ... after you have purchased it!
Featuring, in no particular order of nastiness:
- The mains water stopcock
- Central heating boiler
- The hole in the floor where your water drains out
- Concealed pipe work
- Concealed manholes (in new extensions)
- Gas meter
- Electric meter
- Exterior rainwater pipes
- Interior / Exterior Soil & Vent pipes
- Concrete floors
- No gas supply
- No 30A electrical supply
- Low window sill
- Thin "dry line" walls
- Damp walls
- Rotten floor
- Central heating radiators
- The main kitchen light switch
